The Elite has something to bring this evening that PBA fans may get excited while the Batang Pier will have an already dependable player who has a big potential to take home the biggest individual awards this season.

The COVID-19 changed so many things in the life of many (if not all) people across the globe that’s why many now considered this rare event as historical.

The Philippine Basketball Association is not exempted in this pandemic that’s why Batang Pier head coach Pido Jarencio wanted to leave a more significant mark in the history of the league.

“History ito. Pagtanda natin pag-uusapan pa rin ito, na nagkaroon ng pandemic, PBA binabol, part tayo,” said Jarencio.

“Part tayo ng history. Hindi na ito mawawala sa Google, Wikipedia, mga ganoon.”

With the absence of San Miguel Beermen’s gentle giant June Mar Fajardo and without Barangay Ginebra San Miguel’s big man Greg Slaughter along with their loyal “Never-Say-Die” fans, coach Pido can unleash his prime weapon and that’s his Fil-German Christian Standhardinger.

Even at the start of the 45th PBA Season, Standhardinger is already projected by many basketball experts to win this year’s Most Valuable Player honors.

However, it seems that the opposing team has its own counter-attack as Blackwater will parade their second overall pick during tonight’s main game.

Maurice Shaw a 6-foot-9 big-man will make his PBA debut. Though he is tagged as a rookie yet looking at his basketball resume he already has a long list of hoop experience, somehow similar to C-Stan when he first came to the league.

Likewise, head coach Nash Racela will make his PBA come back and he will try to bring success to the Elite.
