The NorthPort Batang Pier is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Columbian at 4:30 P.M. on July 3, 2019 live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
The Batang Pier wanted to quickly return to the winning and keep their inclusion sa one of the top-two squads while the Dyip are hoping that their “giant slayer” mode continue this afternoon at the Big Dome.
Columbian continue to be an interesting team in the league.
Though they have ended their winning streak against the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters but it seems that they are writing a new one against the San Miguel Beermen.
For the second time around, the Dyip stunned SMB where they’ve shown resilience until the final buzzer in the extra period was heard.
“Sabi ko sa kanila, we just play our game this Wednesday against NorthPort, Saturday against Phoenix. We’ll see what happens. Just continue our good attitude inside, especially on our defense, and in our offense patience pa rin,” Cardel added.
“Kaya kami nanalo ngayon, na-realize nila iyon, na if we don’t play together walang mangyayari.”
For coach Pido Jarencio’s squad on the other hand, their winning streak has ended at the hands of Phoenix Pulse Fuel Masters last June 26.
Their comeback-magic didn’t work that time as they dropped to 7-2 slate.
With two games remaining in their schedule, it is certain that NorthPort will be at its best to secure its chances to have the twice-to-beat advantage in playoffs round.
