The Pampanga Giant Lanterns is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Manila Stars – Frontrow at 6:30 P.M. on July 19, 2019 live from the Alonte Sports Arena, Biñan City, Laguna.
The Giant Lanterns are looking to extend their winning streak to three while the Stars wanted to pick up their fifth victory when the 2019 MPBL Lakan Cup continue this evening in Laguna.
The Manila squad went berserk in their last outing against the Batangas City Athletics in their July 9 match.
Play defense is one of their strengths in that match where they forced their opponent to commit 16 errors. Those turnovers were converted to 16 markers for them.
Apart from that, the Stars dominated the paint where they outrebounded Batangas, 50-43 and outscored them inside the post, 30-24.
Christopher Bitoon was in the starring role in that game where he delivered 20 points and eight rebounds.
For the Pampanga group, on the other hand, they had a dominating game versus the Marikina Shoemasters last July 13.
A whopping 26-point lead wherein one instance went as high as a 33-point advantage. That’s how unmerciful Pampanga to their opponent.
That scoring rampage is expected once again for them to realize their tonight’s objective.
Levi Hernandez paced the Giant Lanterns in scoring during that clash where he scored 17 points while Mark Cruz was steady with his 11 markers and seven assists output.
