The Pampanga Giant Lanterns is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Mindoro Tamaraws at 8:30 P.M. on August 14, 2019 live from the AUF Gymnasium in Angeles City, Pampanga.
The Giant Lanterns wanted to snag their three-game winning streak while the Tamaraws wanted to put a full stop to get back to the winning tracks quickly when the 2019 MPBL Lakan Cup resumes this evening in Angeles City.
The Pampanga squad is coming from a victory against the Valenzuela SPV Top Marketplace last July 31 in Angeles University Foundation Gymnasium.
Thanks to the three late free-throws made by Mark Cruz for them to register another victory in front of their hometown fans.
Cruz and Michael Juico led the Giant Lanterns in scoring on that match where they produced 17 points each.
For the Mindoro group, on the other hand, they’re coming from a huge loss against the Basilan Steel last August 8 in Caloocan Sports Complex.
Rebounding and points in the paint were the areas used by their opponent to dominate the game.
Rodel Vaygan had a stellar performance in that match where he manufactured 28 points and 12 rebounds along with his six assists but in a losing effort.
