The Batangas City Athletics is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Parañaque Patriots at 8:30 P.M. on September 3, 2019 live from the Batangas City Coliseum, Batangas.

The Patriots will try to put an end to their awful four-game losing skid while the Athletics will try to improve to a 7-3 record when the 2019 MPBL Lakan Cup resumes in Batangas this evening.

The Parañaque squad is coming from a what could have been their worst defeat for the season against the Bacoor City Strikers last August 27 at the STRIKE Gymnasium.

The home team played inspired basketball in front of their local fans where almost everyone in the lineup made their scoring contribution in the stat sheet.

Mark Joseph Pangilinan was their top notcher where he made 20 points while the second honor went to Paolo Castro who chipped in with his 17 markers.

For the Batangueño group, on the other hand, they’re coming from a double-digit victory against the Zamboanga Family’s Brand Sardines last August 26 at the San Andres Sports Complex.

Zamboanga made a big mistake on frequently sending the Athletics to the charity stripes 28 times on that match. Batangas players who were sent to the free-throw line made sure that they won’t put it into waste but instead, they knocked it down. 22 went in on those trips and gave the Family’s Brand Sardines another loss in their record.

Lester Alvarez was the leading scorer of the Athletics in that match where he produced 14 points and seven dimes while Jason Melano added 13 points and 8 boards, he was the Batangas player who was sent to the free-throw area ten times and he swished seven.
