Here are the live scores, updates, and results of the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup between the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Gin Kings and the Meralco Bolts, scheduled on November 27, 2020, at 6:30 PM.
Reynel Hugnatan scored a tourney-high 19 points off the bench as the Bolts extended their stay in the bubble with a nail-biting 83-80 win over the first-seeded Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Gin Kings.
During the dying seconds of Game 4, veteran Raymond Almazan, epitomizing his team’s “no-quit spirit,” stepped up and blocked Stanley Pringle’s make-or-break shot, giving the Bolts a shot at the all-Filipino finals.
Foiling the Gin Kings‘ series closeout bid and forced a rubber in their best-of-five semifinals faceoff, Hugnatan and Almazan, along with Chris Newsome and Cliff Hodge, delivered double-digit outputs, with Nards Pinto, Allein Maliksi, and Aaron Black putting in crucial help.
Veteran Ginebra players LA Tenorio and Japeth Aguilar were held scoreless in the first two quarters. Meanwhile, Gin King’s go-to-guy Stanley Pringle settled for only 18 points.
The winning team will advance to the PBA finals and face either the second-seeded Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters or the third-seeded TNT Tropang Giga.
