Here are the live scores, updates, and results of the 2022 PBA Philippine Cup between the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots and the NorthPort Batang Pier scheduled on June 15, 2022, at 3:00 PM.
The Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots are going to have a battle against the NorthPort Batang Pier this afternoon. Magnolia is still yet to win since the start of the conference while NorthPort has already won two out of their past two matchups.
The Hotshots could not maintain their 20-point lead against the FiberXers in their previous game and as a result, they lost to them in overtime with a final score of 89-82. In the extended period, they did not score a single point and got left behind by Converge’s seven points in the same period.
Paul Lee was not able to join the squad against the FiberXers due to a back spasm. To make things worse, Barroca was taken out of the game in the second quarter since he suffered a calf injury.
Fortunately, Lee is now available to play against the Batang Pier while Barroca is still probable. Barroca has practiced with the team, but will still wait for the clearance from Dr. Raul Canlas, their top surgeon.
“Yes, he will play tomorrow,” Victolero said about Lee.
Ian Sangalang stepped up for the team and delivered 22 points while shooting efficiently as he went 8-12 from the field. The big man also had nine boards, almost finishing the contest with a double-double performance.
Jio Jalalon played the most minutes in the Hotshots squad, amassing 44 minutes while racking up 13 points, nine assists, and six rebounds. Ahanmisi and Abueva, the second units of Magnolia, contributed 25 combined points from the bench in the losing effort, 13 for Abueva and 12 for Ahanmisi.
NorthPort had a blowout win against the Terrafirma Dyip.
Robert Bolick led the team with 26 points and ten assists. Not only that, but the sensational guard was two rebounds shy of a triple-double. Jamie Malonzo owned and dominated the paint the entire game, tallying 19 points and 16 rebounds.
Kevin Ferrer added 15 points in the win while he came off from the bench for NorthPort.
