Here are the live scores, updates, and results of the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup between the Meralco Bolts and the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Gin Kings, scheduled on November 20, 2020, at 3:45 PM.

In their series-opener against a familiar foe, the Norman Black-coached Meralco, the first-seeded Ginebra strolled to a 96-79 victory with a balanced effort, punctuated by six players finishing in double-digit scoring: Stanley Pringle (19), Scottie Thompson (13), Arvin Tolentino (13), LA Tenorio (11), Aljon Mariano (11), and Prince Caperal (10).

In the first quarter, both teams were head-to-head, however, the Gin Kings pulled away in the second frame stretching their lead over the Bolts to as much as 12 points. With the momentum on their side heading to the second half of the ballgame, Ginebra further stretched their lead to 17 points.

The Tim Cone-coached team didn’t look back in the last quarter and secured the first win in their best-of-five matchup with Meralco.

As the Kings go for the 2-0 series lead, Meralco will try to bounce back and tie the series at 1-1 apiece.

However, the last time out only two players for the Bolts scored in double figures: Allein Maliksi, who tops all scorers with 24 points, and Chris Newsome who tallied 13 points. Rookie Aaron Black, who played extremely well in their quarterfinals encounter with the five-time defending champions San Miguel Beermen, only scored 8 points.
