Here are the live scores, updates, and results of the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup between the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters and the TNT Tropang Giga, scheduled on November 10, 2020, at 4:00 PM.
After suffering three consecutive defeats in the PBA bubble, the Elasto Painters finally hampered their game-slide and revitalized their quarterfinal bid with a win over plummeting Blackwater Elite, 82-71.
In the third quarter, the Caloy Garcia-coached E-Painters unleashed a 15-0 run that is so insurmountable; the Elite couldn’t go back in the game. In the end, it was the team with a 5-4 win-loss record who punched their way in the Magic 8.
With James Yap force to stay on the sidelines due to a sore left calf and Rey Nambatac forced out by a left ankle sprain he sustained when he landed on Nino Canaleta’s foot after taking a shot just 24 seconds into the second quarter, Javee Mocon finds his rhythm-back just in time to help Rain or Shine win in this must-win match. He dished out a double-double output of 19 points and 13 rebounds to go with two assists, two blocks, and two steals.
Beau Belga provided scoring support to Mocon with his 14 markers.
Meanwhile, after failing miserably to collect three-point shots from behind the arc in their previous outing, TNT went for more high percentage shots this time around that eventually made their win possible over the Meralco Bolts, 92-79.
On top of eight rebounds and three assists, Roger Pogoy scored a game-high 27 points, redeeming himself from sub-par performances the last two games where he could only manage a total of 19 points. Similarly, Troy Rosario redeemed himself from a dismal two-point effort in a 79-85 loss to Barangay Ginebra last Friday.
Consistent for the Tropang Giga were Jayson Castro and Rarray Parks, who scored 24 and 17 points respectively, with the latter scoring his fourth straight double-double after collecting 11 rebounds that game.
TNT has rewarded a 7-3 win-lose card with the win, good enough to keep them at the second-running spot.
