Here are the live scores, updates, and results of the 2021 PBA Governors’ Cup Semi-Finals between the Meralco Bolts and the Magnolia Pambansang Manok Hotshots scheduled on March 27, 2022, at 4:00 PM.

The Semi-Finals series between the Meralco Bolts and the Magnolia Pambansang Manok Hotshots are now tied up at 1-1 after the Bolts took a win in Game Two.

After just being limited to only ten points in the first matchup, Tony Bishop exploded in the second game and delivered a dub for Meralco. The import tallied 22 points, 14 boards, and two blocks in 42 minutes of action for the Bolts.

“It’s very important for Tony to produce in this series and I say that because he’s playing against Mike (Harris) who’s producing every night,” Black shared his thoughts on his import.

The Meralco squad clamped down the opposing team’s stars all throughout the contest.

“I think we just came to the conclusion that the only way to win this series is to focus on defense on the court,” shared by Norman Black.

“I thought we also did a really good job on Mike Harris, especially in the second half, and that really helped us win,” he added.

Chris Newsome and Aaron Black both contributed well in the scoring department, combining up to 32 points in total, 18 for Newsome and 14 for Black who came off from the bench.

Due to Meralco’s big efforts in defending Magnolia, they were able to limit the Hotshots to knock down only three three-pointers in their 28 attempts.

As for Magnolia, their star players, except for import Mike Harris, had a difficult time converting most of their looks. Paul Lee, who only had ten points in the contest, went 3-16 from the field while Abueva made only four of his ten shots and registered nine points at the end of Game Two.

Harris carried most of the load for Magnolia in their clash against the Bolts, posting 25 points and 17 rebounds.
