Here are the live scores, updates, and results of the 2021 PBA Governors’ Cup Semi-Finals between the NLEX Road Warriors and Barangay Ginebra San Miguel scheduled on March 27, 2022, at 6:30 PM.

The Barangay Ginebra is currently cruising in their series against the NLEX Road Warriors as they take a 2-0 lead against them and just need one more win to advance to the Finals.

Despite having the commanding 2-0 lead against the Road Warriors, Tim Cone, head coach of the Barangay Ginebra, expects NLEX to have a fightback.

“Closeout games are always hard because there’s desperation on the other side of the floor,” said Cone.

“I’ve been in that situation where we’re down 0-2, and we had a twice-to-beat disadvantage against TNT in the quarterfinals. So we know it’s possible,” he added.

“With Yeng’s (Guiao) team, it almost seems probable. I mean, there’s always a team that can come back from that deficit, no doubt. So we just take Sunday (Game 3) as a game we prepare for and try to meet their intensity as we go,” he went on.

Justin Brownlee dominated the opposing team with 32 points, nine rebounds, and six assists. “JB” also made 14 of his 24 attempts, eight of them were three-pointers where he was able to hit four of them.

John Pinto was huge in their 11-point comeback within the second quarter as he hit big shots.

NLEX had a 37-26 lead in the second quarter before Pinto tallied all of his ten points within their 23-10 run. The Gin Kings got the lead at 49-47.

Christian Standhardinger filled up Japeth Aguilar’s shoes as a starter due to the absence of the big man. The Bulldozer” had 17 points and 11 boards while shooting 8-14 from the field. Thompson and Tenorio put up 32 combined points in the winning effort, 17 for Thompson and 15 for the veteran point guard.

NLEX’s cast was active offensively against Ginebra, but it was not enough to tie the series.

Matt Nieto led the Road Warriors with 19 points while Clark, their import, had 15 and five boards.

Chua, Rosales, and Alas, players who provided scoring from off the bench, logged in 34 combined points, Alas and Chua with 12 while Rosales had 10.
