
The Alaska Aces is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Blackwater Elite at 4:15 P.M. on March 22, 2017 in Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Aces is looking to extend its winning streak to two while the Elite searching for its first victory this 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
Alaska had a feast when they battled a Romeo-less GlobalPort Batang Pier last Saturday and got an impressive performance from their new import, Cory Jefferson.
Since the start until the final buzzer it was all Alaska. They never get trailed as they scored at least 22 points each quarter.
Calvin Abueva only logged less than twenty minutes in that game still managed to deliver 15 points and 7 rebounds. Newly acquired guard Simon Enciso added 8 points.
Cory Jefferson who only had one practice game with the Aces already shown chemistry with the team. He scored 28 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Jefferson also shot 57% from the rainbow area where he converted 4 out of 7 tries.
Blackwater on the other hand unable to secure its first win after they got defeated by Phoenix Fuel Masters where the game needed a double-overtime to proclaim a winner.
Elite’s prized rookie Mac Belo led all locals with his 21 points and 8 rebounds. Greg Smith had a monster game in his PBA debut where he stuffed the stat sheet with his 37 points and 30 rebounds.
