The Alaska Aces is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the NLEX Road Warriors at 4:15 P.M. on May 24, 2017 in Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Aces chance for making it to the second round is on the line and this is now the best time for them to collect more W to improve its W-L card while the Road Warriors will now act as a playoff-spoiler team.
The losing skid for coach Yeng Guiao squad still continues despite of the recent player movement.
Perhaps it’s only a wrong timing for the Road Warriors as they faced the powerhouse San Miguel Beermen in their last outing.
Alex Mallari and JR QuiƱahan, NLEX’s new acquisition performed well as both players contributed 11 points and 12 points receptively in their Road Warriors debut.
However, they need to do more in order for NLEX sees the winning daylight this second conference.
The Aces should take advantage this opportunity in playing against NLEX. Odds is in their favor going to their 4:15 P.M. schedule and they’re in full force.
“This is a huge game for us and we are treating it like a must-win,” said Compton.
“We need to get back on track and play excellent for 48 minutes against a Coach Yeng-coached team that has nothing to lose,” he added.
“No excuses for us. We need to be great tomorrow.”
The last two games of Alaska is against San Miguel on Saturday then followed by Star next Wednesday.
The Beermen and the Hotshots are both team leaders in this ongoing 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
