The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Blackwater Elite at 7:00 P.M. on May 26, 2017 in Alonte Sports Arena, Laguna.
The “Never-Say-Die” team is currently enjoying at the second spot of the 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup standings and it’s now chasing the elusive twice-to-beat advantage while the Elite will take all of its remaining chances to qualify for the quarterfinals round.
After got defeated against Rain or Shine where they gave up its 16-point lead, coach Tim Cone squad is back in the winning road once again.
Their last assignment was their opponent during the 2017 PBA Philippine Cup, the San Miguel Beermen. This time around, the Gin Kings didn’t fumble and they’ve won in all of the four quarters.
Ginebra unleashed its small-ball offensive strategy against the height and might weapon of the Beermen.
Barangay Ginebra ended up winning as Fajardo and Rhodes unable to chase the speeding Thompson-Tenorio-Brownlee-Aguilar-Mercado connection.

“They can’t take for the Elite for granted especially as Blackwater is fighting for survival,” said Coach Tim Cone.
The last time Ginebra played away from Metro Manila was against Phoenix during their opening game in the second conference and ended up with a loss.
