PBA Live Streaming: Ginebra vs San Miguel Game 5 – PBA Philippine Cup Finals 2017

The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel is scheduled for 2017 PBA Philippine Cup Finals Game 5 against the San Miguel Beermen at 6:30 P.M. on March 5, 2017 in Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The biggest stage of the Philippine Basketball Association is already set and the best-of-seven series between Ginebra and San Miguel will resume this evening.

The Beermen is leading the series with a commanding 3-1 advantage and can able to close the series this evening and take home the Perpetual Trophy.

San Miguel started the game with hot shooting from the rainbow territory and converted all of its six attempts.

The only Beermen who hasn’t scored three points is June Mar Fajardo who was earlier awarded as the Best Player of the Conference.

As those three-pointers keeps on pouring, the Beermen lead ballooned to 18 points midway in the first quarter.

“Hindi lang offense namin, yung defense din namin nag-work din. I think that’s the key,” coach Leo Austria.

Beermen lead even went to the ceiling as they made a 26-points advantage after Fajardo’s basket (64-38) at the start of the third quarter.

However, Barangay Ginebra won’t be tagged as the “Never Say Die” team for nothing.

Rookie Kevin Ferrer’s three-pointer at 8:58 mark in fourth quarter puts Ginebra within 10 (82-72).

Ginebra and San Miguel went back and forth while the Gin Kings trying hard to lower down the deficit but the Beermen tightened their defense to prevent the run.

LA Tenorio brought SMB lead to a single-digit after making his own rainbow shot. The game was at 92-83 with only 2:02 remaining in the game.

Aljon Mariano puts the game even closer after Chris Ross miscommunication pass to Arwin Santos. The game went to 85-92 after Mariano’s lay-up.

After that the basketball favored to SMB after Ginebra made its own late quarter errors which cost them and lose the game.

Joe Devance pass got intercepted and Mark Caguioa threw the ball to nobody and went out of of bounce.

Again, the game was already won by San Miguel in the first quarter by pouring long bombs which resulted to a demoralizing lead.

The Beermen were successful in tearing down the confidence of their opponent right off the get-go.
