The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Talk ‘N Text KaTropa Texters at 6:45 P.M. on April 22, 2017 in Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Ginebra and TNT for sure want to keep their respective hot streak alive but the reality of this evening’s game is that, one team will will see its winning flame fadeswaway.
The last time TNT lose a game was during its 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup debut against the Stepheson’s powered Meralco Bolts.
They still have veteran NBA player Luo Amundson in that game but got outplayed inside the paint.
Perhaps the TNT coaching staff immediately sees that downside and they immediately changed their import.
Currently they have Donte Green another seasoned NBA player and it appears that the entire KaTropa blends to his style of play and likewise, Green also fits to the basketball system of coach Nash Racela.
Talk ‘N Text currently enjoys a five-game winning streak but TNT mentor believes that the real test will begin today against a team which is also known as the “Never-Say-Die” team.
Ginebra’s small-ball offense is currently effective and the result is a back-to-back-to-back wins.
Coach Tim Cone who is famously known in the PBA as the master of the triangle offense which gave him multiple championship rings is now brewing another offensive weapon.
After his subpar second conference 2017 PBA debut against the Fuel Masters, Justin Brownless went on fire both in offensive and defensive end.
Ginebra’s mentor also expressed satisfaction to his returning import that helped them secure the 2016 Governor’s Cup trophy.
“Justin is turning out just as what we expected. But we need contributions from the other guys if we’re to continue playing at a high-level,” said Cone.
