The Meralco Bolts is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Alaska Aces at 5:15 P.M. on April 8, 2017 in Mall of Asia Arena.
The Aces is targeting a five game winning streak and avoid to put blemish to its flawless win-loss record in the current 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup standings while the Bolts is looking to avenge their loss suffered against the Beermen.
Meralco’s import Alex Stepheson has found its true nemesis when they battled against San Miguel.
June Mar Fajardo and the rest of the Beermen has demonstrated to Meralco how tough they are especially on dominating the paint.
That was exactly what Meralco is doing to their first four assignments, they owned the boards and the low post that’s why they got that 4-0 start.
Despite of having key players in the injured list, Alaska is rolling this second conference registering an impressive 4-0 record.
However, coach Alex Compton still see several loopholes in his squad.
“Marami pa kaming bago e, Simon (Enciso) is new, Yutien (Andrada) new, Jake Pascual has had a half conference. And (import) Cory (Jefferson) is new. Bryan Cruz is still a rookie. We have to keep teaching and getting them ready,” said Alex Compton.
“I don’t think our defense is nearly as good as we would hope to start but the record, how can you complain,” he added.
