The Rain or Shine is scheduled for a knockout game against the Blackwater Elite at 7:00 P.M. on February 3, 2017 in Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Rain or Shine went short last Wednesday to grab the last ticket going to the quarterfinals round after they bowed down against the Alaska Aces.
The Elasto Painters has already lost four games in a row but the good news for them is that they’re not officially out from the Quarter Finals picture.
Rain or Shine led almost the entire quarters of the ball-game behind James Yap. It was also seen for the first time where James Yap and Jeff Chan played side-by-side in the court. That’s when RoS unleashed its small-man lineup (similar to Golden State Warriors).
“Actually, sa dulo lang nagkakatalo. First quarter to gitna ng fourth, okay naman. Sa depensa, okay naman pero may mga lapses lang,” Yap said. “May chance pa naman eh at di pa naman kami out.”
The last time RoS and Blackwater met was last December 9, 2016. Five players from Rain or Shine scored in double-figures led by the former MVP James Yap with his 15 points.
RoS led as much as 25 points and shoots 50% from the three-point territory. However, the question still remains will it be a Rain or a Shine for the Elasto Painters after this evening match?
