The San Miguel Beermen is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Mahindra Floodbuster at 4:15 P.M. on April 19, 2017 in Cuneta Astrodome.
It will be a battle between the best team of this second conference versus a struggling squad when PBA resumes this afternoon.
Sitting comfortably at the top of the standings, the Beermen is looking for a four-game winning streak while the Floodbuster will do its best to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Although the odds favored San Miguel in this game, the four-time PBA champion head coach Leo Austria isn’t complacent in playing Mahindra.
“We cannot relax against them, plain and simple,” said Austria. “They practically have nothing to lose and everything to gain kaya hindi p’wedeng magpabaya sa laro namin bukas,” he added.
Last April 9, the Floodbuster demonstrated a balanced scoring as they gave TNT KaTropa a scare. LA Revilla best scoring output so far as he dropped 20 points while Alex Mallari added 17 points.
Keith Smart did his contribution with 26 points and 13 rebounds.
Mahindra should have other scoring threat apart from their import or else their offense will be too predictable just like when they still have James White in their roster.
