The Star Hotshots is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Phoenix Petroleum Fuel Masters at 4:15 P.M. on February 6, 2017 in Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The continuation of the best-of-three series between Star Hotshots and Phoenix Petroleum Fuel Masters resumes today.
During the first half of their Game 1 battle Phoenix was so dominant especially in the second quarter where they scored 36 points.
Before entering the third quarter the Fuel Masters was ahead with 61-55 score.
However, Coach Chito Victolero found the loophole in their game and he challenged his players to play tough defense. His troops responded and limited the Fuel Masters to just 39 points in the second half.
It was also the first time to see Doug Kramer in action coming back from an injury and now donning a GlobalPort jersey.
He logged over 22 minutes and contributed almost a double-double performance with 9 points and 12 rebounds but wasn’t enough to stop Star Hotshots to have another blowout game.
“We didn’t execute anything in the second half. They are playing well in both ends and if we don’t execute and find ways to defend them, ganun yung magiging result. Hindi namin nagawa yung nagawa namin nung first half and that’s my fault. I should’ve reminded them to stick with the game plan,” said Vanguardia (Phoenix Head Coach).
