Coach Gavina also expects more from his newly hired import Keith Wright after a subpar performance in their last outing.
“Ideally, you want your import to get 30 (points) and 20 (rebounds), but he’s fighting jet-lag and tired legs and there’s also an adjustment period for him with regards to our system, our plays, and as well as his teammates,” said Gavina of Wright after the Star game.
“So for me, honestly, when he gets his legs he’s one of those guys who’s gonna demand some sort of offensive and defensive schemes in the long run and I think it’s gonna work for us in the long run,” he added.
