
The Talk ‘N Text KaTropa Texters is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the Phoenix Petroleum Fuel Masters at 6:45 P.M. on March 26, 2017 in Ynares Center, Antipolo.
KaTropa is looking to avenge its first loss and snag a team’s first win this second conference while Phoenix will try to bounce back from a loss.
Former NBA D-League Rookie of the Year, Lou Amundson had a stellar performance in his PBA debut last Friday night. He delivered 19 points and 18 rebounds but the effort wasn’t impressive enough to capture a win.
In the first half of action, Amundson shoots a couple of three-point shots and all went in. That was a surprising move from the 10-year NBA veteran who was commonly seen in the NBA as a player who always providing screens for shooters.
Coach Nash Racela gave recognition to his new import especially in his defensive ability.
“He gave us what we needed defensively, but I think especially in the second half when we were struggling offensively, we couldn’t get any points,” coach Racela said in an interview with inquirer.
The 6:45 P.M. game will also feature the return of two current Gilas players in their respective mother teams.
Jayson Castro who is dubbed as the Best Point Guard in Asia will be suiting up with TNT and for Phoenix it will be also the first appearance of its prized rookie, Matthew Wright who came back from a minor surgery.
