Arwind Santos now joins the phenomenal 10,000-point club in a game between the NorthPort Batang Pier and his former team, the San Miguel Beermen.
The former MVP reached the milestone in the first seconds of the third quarter after he swishes a fade-away jumper against the long-stretched arms of his former teammate, June Mar Fajardo.
“The Spiderman” tallied 25 points, seven boards, three dishes, two steals, and five blocks on 10-20 shooting in the losing effort against the Beermen, proving that he still has gas left in his tank.
Santos, who also earned the Defensive Player of the Year award, became the 17th member of the elite squad. Not only that, but he is also the third player in the last 21 years to achieve the outstanding feat alongside James Yap and Mark Caguioa.
The slender forward of the Batang Pier said that not sustaining serious injuries paved the road to entering the phenomenal group that includes astounding players such as Robert Jaworski, Allan Caidic, four-time MVP Ramon Fernandez and Alvin Patrimonio, and others.
“God is good dahil wala akong injury na malala, healthy pa rin ako, nakakapag-perform pa rin ako at the same time. Hindi ko talaga akalain ito,”Santos shared.
Currently, Santos has logged in 10,012 points after their clash against San Miguel.
