The Blackwater Elite was successful to avoid getting eliminated as they were able to beat the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, 100-96.

This time around, the Elite made sure there’s no fourth-quarter collapse to force a knockout game on Thursday.

Bobby Ray Parks struggled in the first half as he only manufactured eight points but he went scoring berserk in the second half where he logged 20 points.

Parks delivered a total of 28 points along with his seven rebounds and a couple of assists.

He was later named as the Best Player of the Game.

Rain or Shine tried to duplicate their come-from-behind win in their series opener but Gabe Norwood missed his two crucial free-throws.

Their chance to turn things around with less than two minutes in the fourth quarter suddenly burst.

Blackwater “balik-import” Greg Smith had a much better output compared to his last Saturday’s performance.

Smith got 31 points and 18 rebounds. He stabilized their squad when Parks got fouled out at the 1:02 mark in the final period.

Smith’s jumper in the last 44 seconds of the game gave Elite more room as they increased their advantage, 97-93.

ROS rookie Javee Mocon led them in scoring with 25 points with his five boards while their reinforcement player Carl Montgomery added 11 markers and 15 rebounds.
