The Columbian Dyip got a rousing start as they edged the Alaska Aces in the opener of the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup, 117-110.


Columbian’s import, Khapri Alston had an amazing PBA debut logging 38 points, 22 rebounds and four rebounds in the victory.

Most of his damage came in the third quarter when his squad registered a commanding 37 points during that period.

Fresh from his stint with the Gilas Pilipinas in the just concluded 2019 FIBA World Cup, CJ Perez continues his stellar performance in the local league.

In this game, Perez tallied 28 points and 13 boards.

The head coaching debut of Jeffrey Cariaso got spoiled as well as the first game of Abu Tratter in Alaska.

Yet, Tratter had a good show up as he notched 15 points and nine rebounds. He also has shown aggressiveness late in the game when the Aces attempt to make a comeback after got buried by 10 points.

Alaska’s import Justin Watts made an impressive PBA debut as he delivered 40 points and 14 rebounds but despite having those stats they came short on snagging the victory.
