The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel were successful on making a bounce back game against the Alaska Aces, 118-106.
It seems like Alaska absorbed the wrath of the Gin Kings after the squad of coach Tim Cone lost to Phoenix Fuel Masters last Friday.
In that game which was scheduled two nights ago, the Barangay defense collapsed in the third quarter and gave up 45 points to their opponent.
In tonight’s match, the Gin Kings came sharper and made sure that there’s no breakdown in their defense.
It was a tug-of-war for both squads right from the get-go but in the fourth quarter the long range jumpers of Ginebra started to rain.
The BGSM lead ballooned to double-digit and Alaska had no answer until no more time on the game clock.
Four players from the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel scored at least 22 points. Stanley Pringley is one of them who deliverd 27 points for his new team.
“Stan-the-Man” was also named as the Bida Player of the Game.
Chris Banchero paced Alaska with his 29 points and four assists while their comeback import Diamond Simpson had 22 points and 22 rebounds.
With the victory Ginebra is now 5-4 while the Alaska Aces dropped to 4-5 slate as they absorbed a three-game losing skid.
