PBA Recap: Ginebra Vs NorthPort Final Score | 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup

The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel able to escape the pesky defense of the NorthPort Batang Pier and ended their three-game winning streak, 73-70.

Another dramatic finish for the Gin Kings most especially for their Justin Brownlee who once again drilled a three-pointer with less than two minutes remaining in the game.

The Batang Pier employed a zone defense to limit the scoring production of Ginebra bigs and that gave Brownlee a wide open view from the corner three-point area.

NorthPort had a chance to tie the score to 73-all but their three last attempts didn’t find the bottom of the net. Garvo Lanete and Sean Anthony tried to be a hero for their squad but failed to deliver the needed basket.

Brownlee scored 32 points along with his eight rebounds and six assists plus five steals. He was also named as the Bida Player of the Game.

For NorthPort side, Mo Tautuaa paced their scoring with his 15 points while Sean Anthony added 14 markers.

Prince Ibeh had a block party as he swatted the Ginebra shots. He registered five blocks and 24 rebounds.
