PBA Recap: Ginebra Vs Rain or Shine (ROS) Final Score | 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup

The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters denied the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel for their 1000th victory as they break the winning column, 104-81.


The second year man of RoS had a career night as Rey Nambatac went scoring berserk with his 30 points.

The former Letran Knights standout was also sharp from the three-point line as he nailed 7-of-11 from downtown. Nambatac was also awarded as the Bida Player of the Game.

Denzel Bowles seems like re-introduced himself to his former head coach here in the PBA. The former import of coach Tim Cone logged 25 points and 17 rebounds.

In the first half of PBA action the score were close. Japeth Aguilar paced the Gin Kings with his perimeter jumpers especially in the opening quarter.

However, in the second half the defense of the Elasto Painters which made them formidable in the elimination round of the All-Filipino started to bite as they held Ginebra scoreless for several minutes in the final period.

Rain or Shine points advantage all of the sudden went out of reach and Ginebra unable to recover.

Justin Brownlee who played his 100th PBA game and as a Gin Kings player scored 30 points and grabbed 17 rebounds. Japeth Aguilar helped him in their scoring department as he chipped in with 17 markers.

Ginebra now dropped to 2-2 slate while Rain or Shine improved to 1-2 record.
