The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel snapped their two-game losing skid at the same time they ended the winning streak of San Miguel Beermen, 129-124.
Justin Brownlee made another triple-double a follow-up from his Dubai game but this time around it was special as it ended with a victory.
Brownlee delivered his goods with 28 points, 14 rebounds, and 14 assists performance. He was also later named as the Best Player of the Game.
The Gin Kings victory was propelled by Jeff Chan and Arthur Dela Cruz in the second quarter where most of their scoring damage came.
Chan reintroduced himself to the crowd as he made 15 points while shooting 3-of-4 from the three-point area. Dela Cruz, on the other hand, chipped in with 11 markers.
Ginebra led as much as 18 points but the Beermen were resilient and surely but surely they climbed back and put their squad in a striking distance in the fourth quarter.
Yet, the Barangay squad seems to have learned something from their NLEX game in UAE as they refused another fourth-quarter collapse.
SMB import Dez Wells poured his career-high in the PBA with 52 points while Marcio Lassiter had 16 points.
It was the second game of Lassiter after got sidelined due to an injury and it appears that “Super Marcio” is back.
