Rain or Shine Elasto Painters guard James Yap lifted his team over the Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok, 95-94.

The pride of the Escalante, Negros Occidental poured 18 points to lead his team in scoring along with his five rebounds.

With just only 1:24 left in the fourth quarter and Magnolia leading the game, 70-67, “Big Game James” unloads a three-pointer to tie the score at 70-all.

Then both teams traded basket just showing to their fans that they need the win very bad before they take the league’s long week rest.

Paul Lee and James Yap are the two players who switched places in 2016 are giving their current team the needed tools for victory.

Lee put back his team on the driver seat with only seven seconds remaining by beating a double-team defense, 74-72.

Yet, Yap got the last laugh in their first head-to-head match of the season when he drilled an and-1 basket at the two seconds mark.

Yap converted his bonus free-throw and that sealed the victory giving them 7 wins and only 1 defeat this 2019 PBA Philippine Cup.
