Revilla scored 12 points while Wright added 22 markers enough to give head coach Louie Alas and their squad a 3-0 card.
Coming to the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup, coach Louie isn’t expecting how his boys will respond after back-to-back losses in their tune-up game.
“Before the conference hindi ko iniisip na 3-0. Wala kasi kaming ipinanalo sa dalawang tuneup na laro, (against NLEX and Rain or Shine), pareho pang blowout losses,” related Alas.
Coach Alas wanted to collect as many wins as they can considering that they haven’t yet played against the league’s powerhouse teams.
“Kaya ang iniisip ko coming to this, makakuha lang ng .500 okay na. Sana madagdagan pa para maka-pondo kami. Hindi pa kasi kami lumalaban sa heavyweights tulad ng Ginebra, San Miguel (Beer), Magnolia.”
Their victory against the Columbian Dyip was their first without the need of an extra period.
Columbian Dyip’s rookie JP Calvo led his team with 18 points while fellow new-comer and top overall pick CJ Perez got shutdown as he only delivered 10 points compared to his 26 points explosion during his PBA debut.
