The Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok finally snapped their three-game losing slump after they outplay the Columbia Dyip in Smart Araneta Coliseum, 118-103.

Romeo Travis may still not 100% but he gave rays of hope to Hotshots fans to reach the playoffs this 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup.

Travis admitted that he has no intention to win the Best Import Award this third conference but rather to focus on going back to the Finals and defend their crown.

The former St. Vincent–St. Mary High School player led Magnolia with his 28 points, eight rebounds, and six assists performance.

Ian Sangalang got the second honors in scoring as he chipped in with his 24 markers.

Jio Jalalon appeared to be in scoring mode in this match where he also flirted with a triple-double output with 19 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists.

Marc Pingris also had an inspired basketball game where he produced 8 points, 5 rebounds and a couple of assists which are no-loo-passes.

It was a tight ball-game in the first quarter where the score was close at the end of that period, 29-27 in favor of Columbian.

Yet in the second quarter, Magnolia started their scoring rampage as they close the first half with a 61-52 score.

In the third quarter, Columbian cut the deficit down to four points after they opened the period with a 5-0 blast.

However, Magnolia always found answers to stop the comeback attempt of Columbian and eventually got the victory.

CJ Perez led the Dyip in their offense with his 28 points and eight boards while their import Khapri Alston added 26 points and 14 rebounds.
