The Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok gave NorthPort Batang Pier a nightmare-ish match at the Big Dome. Final score, 96-80.
Magnolia’s guard Andy Mark Barroca made sure that this time around no let down from his team just like what happened when they played against the Meralco Bolts a few days ago.
Barroca ignited his squad in the second quarter where they started to make separation from their opponent.
Apart from that “The Coffee Prince” defense was locked down on Batang Pier’s rookie, Robert Bolick who became the new anchor of coach Pido Jarencio squad.
Likewise, Ian Sangalang was on a scoring mode tonight where he tied his career-high of 28 points. Sangalang was the recipient of great ball movement displayed by Magnolia.
In the opening quarter, NorthPort had their scoring surge and made a 7-0 spurt but that was the only time they got the upper edge, the rest it was all Hotshots.
Mychal Lemar Ammons and Kevin Ferrer led the Batang Pier with their 18 points performance.
Bolick shooting hands got tied and he was only limited to seven points with a dismal 2-of-9 from the field.
