DiGregorio made seven treys out of his ten attempts to lead Blackwater in scoring while teammate Allein Maliksi added 23 markers.
The Filipino-Italian credited their team chemistry as they now logged their first win of the season.
“It’s about chemistry. We had a good bonding session going to this game. We’ve got to know each other better, and there’s a lot of motivation to come out in this game,” said Digregorio.
Allein Maliksi is also grateful for the response of his teammates as he is now tasked to be the leader of their team.
“They’re showing their trust in me. Pinababayaan nila akong mag-lead. At malaking bagay din ang trabaho at sakripisyo ng coaching staff. Before and after practice, they gave us extra session para talaga ma-improve kami,” said Maliksi.
The Elite spoiled the return of Raymond Almazan in the Elasto Painters squad. Almazan only logged two points in less than three minutes of basketball action.
James Yap led Rain or Shine with his 20 points while Maverick Ahanmisi registered 18 points.
With the victory, Blackwater now improves their standing at 1-2 while the Elasto Painters dropped to 2-1.
