The NLEX Road Warriors has ended their six-game losing slump as they beat the Meralco Bolts, 100-91.
It was a different Road Warriors the fans have witnessed inside the SM Mall of Asia Arena as the boys of coach Yeng Guiao were on a scoring tear.
Jericho Cruz who was spectacular in his second game in NLEX as he dropped 16 points and dished out six assists.
He was named as the Best Player of the Game.
Their import Tony Mitchell also had a superb performance as he logged 32 points and 20 rebounds in that game.
For the first time this conference, NLEX led as much as 20 points against their opponent. They made a strong third quarter run that might stunned the Bolts.
However, with just five minutes remaining in the game, Meralco were able to pull the score within striking distance, 87-91.
Yet, it was NLEX who demonstrated more willingness to win compared to Meralco as they bagged their first victory this 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
