The NorthPort Batang Pier are back in their winning ways after they’re able to escape the Columbian Dyip, 110-108.


Nico Elorde who is coming from an injury made a major impact in order for their squad pick up the bounce back game they want.

Elorde launched three straight three-pointer to give his team a much needed breathing room in the fourth quarter as the game approaches to its twilight zone, 108-103.

Yet, the Columbian Dyip said it’s still not over as they made their own surge behind the three-pointer answer of Rashwan McCarthy and the layup made by CJ Perez, the game was tied at again at 108-all

NorthPort head coach Pido Jarencio called a timeout for him to design an offensive play with seven seconds remaining in the regulation.

That play was probably designed to Robert Bolick as the rookie has no hesitation to drive in the lane for a layup. Columbian import Lester Prosper was there to contest his shot but instead he’ll hit the ball it was the basketball ring he accidentally touched and the official called it a goal tending violation.

That instance gave NorthPort a two-point lead, 110-108.

It was the turn of coach Dyip’s head Johnedel Cardel to design a play but the execution wasn’t there as Eric Camson forced his shot and missed.

The late game heroics of Nico Elorde made him as the Best Player of the Game.

Kevin Ferrer continue to showcase his scoring skills after he moved to NorthPort. Ferrer had 21 points to go along with his five boards while Robert Bolick added 21 points and five assists.

CJ Perez led Columbian with his 29 points performance, his teammate Rashawn McCarthy chipped in with 16 markers and 10 rebounds.

The Batang Pier solidified its number two position in the standings having 8-2 record while Columbian dropped to 2-7.
