PBA Recap: Rain or Shine Vs Columbian Final Score | 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup

by | Posted on: June 23rd, 2019 | No Comments | Sports

The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters were able to escape the Columbian Dyip in Batangas, 88-86.

Rey Nambatac had his heroic acts once again but this time not from the three-point land but a layup against the towering defense of Columbian import Lester Prosper.

RoS reinforcement player Denzel Bowles carried his team almost the entire quarters including in the overtime.

Yet, he was also the reason why their match got stretched and needed an extra five minutes as he struggle to convert free-throws.

Bowles who is famously known of his charity stripe shots during the 2012 PBA Commissioner’s Cup was only 33% from the free-throw line in 7-of-21 shooting.

Still, his determination and focus despite of playing heavy minutes in their back-to-back games led them to victory.

Bowles had 29 points and 14 rebounds and was named as the Best Player of the Game.

Lester Prosper led the Columbian Dyip in scoring with his 26 points and 15 rebounds performance while Rashawn McCarthy who pushed the game into overtime delivered 15 points and 7 rebounds.

The Elasto Painters now snapped their four-game losing streak against Columbian which dates back to 2018 PBA Philippine Cup.

Rain or Shine now improved their standing to 3-3 while the Columbian Dyip got buried deeper with 1-6 slate.

Rey Nambatac For The Wiinnn… BANG!
