PBA Recap: Rain or Shine Vs Phoenix Final Score | 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup

The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters took advantage the import-less Phoenix Pulse Fuel Master at the end part of the fourth quarter to win back-to-back, 89-82.

RoS import Denzel Bowles continue his sterling performance, a great follow-up to his double-double output against the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel few days ago.

Bowles delivered 28 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for coach Caloy Garcia squad and was choosen as the Best Player of the Game.

Likewise, Rey Nambatac also picked up his game where he left-off. “The Stingray” once again showcased his deadly long range shooting as he silenced Phoenix at the 2:05 mark.

Richard Howell had a much better game compared to his debut last Friday. This time around Howell reminded PBA fans why he won a Best Award as he scored 27 points and 11 rebounds.

Yet, he committed his last foul with less than four minutes to play in the fourth quarter. RoS took advantage the already crippled lineup of their opponent and cruised to another victory.

Without Calvin Abueva and head coach Louie Alas plus the injured Alex Mallari the Fuel Masters is a different team as they now absorbed their three straight losses. Interim head coach Topex Robinson is 0-2 when he took role of calling the shots from the bench. He was also whistled with a technical foul during his team trying to make a comeback.

Robinson entered the basketball floor before he called for a timeout.

Matthew Wright scored 15 points but he was heavily guarded and his three-point shooting is very much affected. Wright only converted two treys out of his seven attempts.

Phoenix got buried deeper in the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup standings having a 1-3 record while the Elasto Painters are now at the fifth spot with 2-2 slate and tied with Barangay Ginebra San Miguel.
