Mark Andy Barroca lifted Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok against the San Miguel Beermen as he sunk a game-winning shot, 88-86.
With the game on the line, the Hotshots were patient finding their shooter with time ticking down.
Jio Jalalon was running the point in that last second frame and he first passed the ball to Rodney Brondial. Then Brondial found the open Barroca in the side corner three.
Beermen forward Christian Standhardinger immediately run to him for defensive purposes. Barroca faked a three-pointer and made a step inside the three-point arc and made a pull-up jumper.
Everyone was looking at the ball as it find the bottom of the nets.
Barroca’s best reward was probably was the kiss of his head coach who is overjoyed with the outcome of the game.
The Hotshots is once again in the driver seat and now owns the 3-2 series lead.
Game Six of the Magnolia vs San Miguel is scheduled on Sunday and will be played at the Big Dome at 6:30 PM.
