The San Miguel Beermen will advance to the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals after they eliminated the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, 98-95.

Chris Mccullough scored much lesser in Game 4 compared to his scoring frenzy in Game 3 where he dropped 51 points but the result they wanted tonight was achieved.

The Beermen were down by 13 points and they needed to orchestrate a run for them to catch-up RoS.

Alex Cabagnot was San Miguel’s go-to-guy in the third frame as they slowly chopped down the double-digit advantage of their opponent.

Then in the fourth quarter, Mccullough finally reclaimed the lead as he launched a deep three-pointer at the 2:45 mark, 96-94.

Terrence Romeo who was not really that effective in Game 4 both in offense and in defense but SMB head coach Leo Austria put his trust to the former scoring champion as he kept him in the game.

After that Mccullough three-pointer, in the next San Miguel ball possession, Romeo launched a jump shot which was heavily contested by ROS import Carl Montgomery but he still able to swish it.

That is the only basket produced by Romeo but it was enough to give them the much-needed advantage to obtain the ticket going to the championship round.

Rain or Shine had several attempts to reclaim the driver seat but their last play ended with a turnover after Chris Ross swiped the ball from James Yap.

With the victory, San Miguel will face the TNT KaTropa in the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals which is scheduled this Sunday.

These are the same squads that went head-to-head in the biggest stage of the PBA in the same conference two years ago.

Chris Mccullough For The Lead… BANG!!!
