The TNT KaTropa were able to bounce back and reclaim the driver seat of the series against the San Miguel Beermen in Game 3, 115-105.
The Beermen lead as much as 17 points in the first half that’s after what they called playing mind games with TNT import Terrence Jones.
The tandem of Chris Ross and Christian Standhardinger kept playing physical with Jones and a result, the former Houston Rockets player unable to perform well.
Yet, in the second quarter, Jones made his adjustment and started to play the way he used to do where he helped led the KaTropa to finish 11-1 in the elimination round.
Talk ‘N Text made their scoring surge with a 24-0 blast before the end of the second half and took over the momentum.
The Beermen made their attempt to make a comeback in the fourth quarter but RR Pogoy slammed the doors of opportunity as he converted several three-pointers.
Pogoy was later named as the Best Player of the Game with his 29 points and eight rebounds performance along with his 5-of-9 accuracy from the rainbow territory.
Jones, on the other hand, flirted another triple-double output with his 37 points, 18 rebounds and nine assists.
June Mar Fajardo and Chris Mccullough paced the Beermen with their 27 points apiece. Mccullough was forced to sit almost the entire second half due to foul trouble.
San Miguel and Talk ‘N Text will return on Sunday for their Game 4 and will still be held at the Big Dome.
