Our beloved Batang Gilas will play against the home-team Greece in the main event and in the opening day of the 2019 U19 FIBA World Cup.
It’s expected that the Heraklion Arena will be filled by the Greece fans but we’re also anticipating that our Kababayans who are based in that area will also be in full force to chant “PUSO!”, the popular battle cry of Gilas.
Kai Sotto and AJ Edu are probably the popular duo of the squad being coached by Sandy Arespacochaga.
Yet, this younger version of Gilas is filled with height and talents. Their goal on at least making to the quarterfinals is very much possible.
