Team Philippines is scheduled for a head-to-head game against team Indonesia at 12:00 P.M. on December 1, 2019 in FilOil Flying V Arena, San Juan City.
Gilas Pilipinas will start its 2019 SEA Games campaign in 3X3 basketball and for their first assignment, it’s the team Indonesia.
Team Philippines will be spearheaded by Columbian Dyip’s CJ Perez, Phoenix Pulse Fuel Master’s Jayson Perkins, Meralco Bolts Chris Newsome and San Miguel Beermen big-man Mo Tautuaa.
Perez had a good showing during the 2019 FIBA World Cup and he is expected that he won’t slow down. This will be his second time to represent the country in an international competition.
Tautuaa, on the other hand, wore the Gilas jersey during the 2015 Jones Cup where he helped the team finished secured the silver medal.
Newsome and Perkins will be their first time to represent the country and without a doubt, they wanted to make it special and deliver the gold medal.
Team Indonesia is considered one of the top teams in basketball in Southeast Asia.
