The Philippines’ Gilas Pilipinas is scheduled for a head-to-head game against the team Qatar at 9:00 P.M. on August 13, 2017 in Zouk Mosbeh, Lebanon.

Gilas Pilipinas is looking to sweep the so-called “Group of Death” while the team Qatar will try to at least register a win before they end their 2017 FIBA Asia Cup campaign.

Winning against China and Iraq probably enough to say that our beloved Gilas Pilipinas is now secured in the Quarterfinals round. Considering its blowout win versus team Iraq two days ago.

Team Qatar on the other hand played well against team China in their last outing. Many have expected that China will be breathing fire after got lost against the Philippines but started slow in their second assignment.

Qatar was in a close distance with China in the first three quarters but collapsed in the final period. They got outscored by their opponent 17-33 in the winning quarter.

Abdulrahman Saad was Qatar’s leading scorer with 19 points while Ali Saeed Erfan was the the choosen top performer where he registered 18 points and 7 boards.
