Our beloved Gilas squad will try to bounce back and keep their quarterfinals hopes alive when they resume their 2019 FIBA World Cup campaign this evening in Foshan, China.

In their game against team Italy, coach Yeng Guiao’s plan was to shoot at least ten three-pointers to keep the score close. Yet, the coaching staff of team Italy and its scouts seems reading our local papers or watching the Philippines’ news program as they came well prepared.

They have shut down most of the Gilas players and only registered three conversions.

As a result, a massive lead piled by the Italians.

Tonight, another huge test awaits for team Philippines. It’s the FIBA ranked number four in the world and that’s team Serbia.

They’ll be showcasing four NBA players in their roster led by Boban Marjanovic, Nikola Jokic, and Bogdan Bogdanovic.
