Showbiz personalities coming from all major networks in the Philippines, shared their mourning of the untimely death of the seasoned television host German “Kuya Germs” Moreno. These celebrities utilized different social media networking sites on Friday to show their respective sadness over the death of the country’s most well known showbiz icon.
Celebrities from GMA network posted their thoughts on either Facebook, Twitter or Instagram how they were touched by The Master Showman during the time when they worked alongside the experienced television host who was immortalized in one of the country’s hottest show, “That’s Entertainment” which was aired in Philippines for 10 years, from 1986 until 1996. The said show produced hundreds of showbiz stars that helped shape the showbiz industry in the nation.
Known as the Philippines Songbird, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid published a photograph on Instagram, an image of Kuya Germs, with his hands in the shape of a heart, with a caption that says, “thank you Kuya Germs we will miss you.” she also quoted a verse from the bible that say “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.”
According to his nephew John Nite, a cardiac arrest is the cause of German Moreno‘s death. He passed away in early morning of January 8, 2016 at the age of 82.
