Team Philippines is scheduled for a head-to-head game against team Canada at 4:50 P.M. on June 11, 2018 in Philippine Arena, Bulacan.
Our beloved Gilas Pilipinas needs a quick bounce back win after a sorry loss against team Mongolia in order to keep its playoffs bid alive.
Team Philippines will be battling one of the early leaders of the tournament and currently owns a 2-0 win-loss record in Pool C. Team Canada won their first game using a dramatic come-from-behind victory against team Mongolia, same team that defeated Gilas in during day two of the 2018 FIBA 3X3 World Cup.
Opposite to Gilas, team Canada were down 0-8 against the former FIBA 3X3 Asia Gold medalist squad. However, the Canadian basketball players found their shooting strokes behind the arc and it changed the complexion of the game.
They made their own run and all of the sudden they’re up 9-8 and the Mongolian squad weren’t able to recover.
That defeat gave the losing team Mongolia a boost and probably all of their frustration went out when they faced the basketball players of the host nation.
The team coached by Ronnie Magsanoc surrendered their first loss in front of their home-crowd. Stanley Pringle promised to the fans that in their next game they’ll be playing more intense basketball.
