Team Philippines is scheduled for a head-to-head game against team Mongolia at 6:40 P.M. on June 9, 2018 in Philippine Arena, Bulacan.
After team Brazil our beloved Gilas Pilipinas will take on team Mongolia who are also playing their second game in the same day.
After playing head-to-head against the World’s number 6 team Brazil another powerhouse will be dealt by the Filipino basketball players and this time it’s the number 11 Mongolian squad.
Mongolia will be lead by Tsenguunbayar Gotov, a 6’3 flashy guard and currently at the 38th spot in the world rankings. Mongolia was named as the champions of the 2017 Asia FIBA 3X3 which was held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Usually, team Philippines assemble its players in random each FIBA 3X3 tournament and this is what coach Ronnie Magsanoc wanted to take advantage.
“Hopefully, we bring the element of surprise against them because they are not familiar with us. I hope we can compete and bring the fight until the endgame,” said Magsanoc.
With his two guards, two big-men rotation Philippines is poised to pull the win in front of their Filipino fans who will for sure will flock the biggest arena in the nation which is the Philippine Arena.
