The Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters are going to have a head-to-head match against the powerhouse San Miguel Beermen.
Phoenix entered the Governors’ Cup playoffs but was then greeted with a blowout-loss against the Magnolia Hotshots. They had the twice-to-beat disadvantage against Magnolia in the quarterfinals.

Meanwhile, San Miguel is going to pursue another championship in this conference to add to their already stacked Philippine Cup championships. The Beermen accumulated nine championships, five of them came from their phenomenal five-peat led by Jun Mar Fajardo.
The twin towers of San Miguel are going to have an appearance against Phoenix, namely, Fajardo and Tautaa. Both are looking forward to owning the paint all throughout the contest. Vic Manuel also is going to back them up as the second unit.
