Once dubbed as the dark horse of the Philippine Basketball Association after the squad acquired the services of Calvin Abueva from the Alaska Aces.
Yet, the man who is known as the “Beast” got involved in several controversial incidents that later the office of the PBA Commissioner slapped him with an indefinite suspension.
From the of the top of the standings, Phoenix struggled to pile more wins after Abueva went missing from their lineup.
However, PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial mentioned that there are few more tasks left that he wanted Calvin to do for him to lift the ban. Once it’s over, expect that the Fuelmasters with their new monicker “Super LPG” will be considered once again as a championship contender team.
